Amy's Philosophy

I strongly value the development of secure, respectful, and reciprocal relationships with children, their families, and the wider community. I believe that children are capable and competent learners and I respect a child’s right to make decisions, take risks and actively construct their learning. I aim to provide a flexible program that supports the child as a holistic being and supports learning through intentional teaching practices using both incidental and planned experiences. I value a collaborative and co-operative working environment with an emphasis on the self-reflection process and professional learning to benefit the program.
